A view of the frontline of the civil war in southern Myanmar

From this vantage point in an area held by the resistance in Karen State, southern Myanmar, one can see how the frontline extends not far from the Thai border. Here the military junta and armed resistance groups are fighting to control territory. Right now, the resistance controls roughly half of the country's townships.
